How old do you have to be to rent a cycle? The legal age to rent a 50cc scooter in Bermuda is 18 years old. Proof of age will be required. What do I need to rent a cycle? We require proof of age, either a driver's license, passport or official I.D., and any of the following credit cards. MasterCard, Visa or American Express. We accept cash or travellers cheques as payment however we require one of the listed credit cards on file. How are the rental rates calculated? We rent on a daily basis ONLY starting from the time you collect the cycle until the same time the next day. You will be charged an additional day if you are overdue when you return. What type of cycle do you rent? We rent scooters. You can view them on our reservation link. If you can ride a pedal bike then most likely you can ride one of our scooters. Our deluxe model is larger and suitable for two adults. The Standard is smaller and usually used by one person. Where do I park the cycle? The most common mode of transport in Bermuda is the scooter. There are cycle parking bays all over the island at all hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions etc. What is the speed limit in Bermuda? The speed limit is 35 kilometres per hour or 22 miles per hour. What hours are you open? We are open 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, 7 days a week. How much does it cost to rent a cycle? We have 2 different models in the fleet and they each cost a different amount per day. The daily cost goes down the longer you keep the cycle. Click on our RATES link to see pricing. Can I reserve a cycle in advance? You can book your cycle online and you must receive the automatic confirmation number to ensure your reservation is completed. Does the rental include insurance? ALL customers are required to pay a damage waiver fee. By paying this fee the rider is released by the hirer for accidental damage that may occur to the cycle. This does not cover theft or where negligence is a factor. This is not insurance in any way. This is mandatory and non-refundable. Can you deliver and pick up cycles? We provide EITHER delivery or a shuttle service depending where the customer is staying. The customers address on the island determines which shop will provide the service. Do you provide child seats? We do have a limited amount of baby seats available and they would need to be reserved in advance. Although it is common practice here, we urge parents who are not familiar with riding scooters and Bermuda’s roads to consider other modes of transportation. We do not allow children under the age of 2 to be a pillion passenger and the child seats are rated for a child up to 45lbs. There is a $50.00 deposit for the baby seat. Are helmets required? Yes, this law is strictly enforced. Do helmets come with the rental or do they cost extra? Up to two helmets come free of charge with the rental. The cycle will also be equipped with an additional lock, if required, and basket or top box. Please do not leave your valuables in the cycle. Do you recommend any specific type of clothing for riding the cycle? We recommend closed shoes (i.e. not sandals) and appropriate clothing to protect you from the sun. Do you deliver to the ship? We do not deliver to the ship because we have shops at all of the ports. See map Do you pick up from the ship? We do not pick up from the ship. You are required to return the cycle to the shop you rented from or the shop in the last port of call. If returning after hours lock the helmets under the seat, lock the cycle and drop the keys through the key drop box. Where do I park the cycle if I am on a ship? There are cycle parking lots beside the ship at each port. Please lock the cycle and park it in the correct location. Can our cycles be transported to another location if our ship moves? We ask you to lock your cycle and take the keys and helmets with you if your ship moves unexpectedly. You can collect another cycle at the next port from our other shop. You will need to turn in your keys before we give you another cycle. What happens if I have a problem with the cycle? During our hours of operation (8.30 am until 5.30 pm) we will either troubleshoot the problem over the phone or have another cycle brought to you. What happens if I have a problem with the cycle after you are closed? Make sure you lock and secure the cycle, call our answering service and leave your name, cycle number (located on the key tag) and location of the bike and either your hotel name or contact information. After securing the original cycle and accessing the problem we will exchange the cycle as soon as possible. Do you offer group or family discounts? We consider groups or family discounts to be 10 cycles or more. Contact the main shop at What happens if I lose the keys, helmet or lock? We charge you $20.00 PER item. This must be paid for at the time we replace the item. What types of credit card can I use? We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Do I have to return the cycle to the shop I rented it? No, you can return at any shop; however, those shops service their immediate area. If you require a ride back to where you are staying please request a taxi. Not all shops provide the shuttle service. I am leaving on the early morning American Airlines Flight, what do I do with the cycle if you are closed? We prefer you to return the cycle to the shop, lock it securely and drop the key through the key drop. If this is not possible, then please make alternative arrangements with the Duty Manager at your rental location.
